Throwing trees into the ocean – childs play!!!!

19 09 2011

Please read these 2 scriptures:

Mat 17:20 KJV And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Luk 17:6 KJV And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Throughout the 4 gospels, Jesus speaks about having faith. We need to remember that He was talking to Jews under the Law. Jesus makes this statement about having faith as a mustard seed. I always thought that Jesus was saying that we just need a small amount of faith, the “size” of a mustard seed, and we could remove mountains and cast sycamine trees into the ocean. But what happens if we look at these scriptures in the light of, having the same “faith” as a mustard seed? This is what the King James Bible says. If the faith of a mustard seed, can get mountains like Mt Kilimanjaro removed then imagine what a seed “greater” than a mustard seed would be able to do?

Christians all over desire to be able to have “great faith”. They are not aware of the measure of faith that is in them, because of the Seed in them. Please look at this next scripture:

Gal 3:16 KJV ……And to thy seed, which is Christ.

1Pe 1:23 KJV Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Where does Christ the Seed live? He lives in us Col 1:26-27. Because He lives in us, we live by the faith of Christ the Seed. If faith as a mustard seed can get mountains and trees removed, just imagine what can Christ the Seed in us, can do through us?

Gal 2:16 KJV Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, …..

Gal 2:20 KJV I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. *

We do not have to build and increase our own faith to get mountains removed. We do not have to pray and ask God for the faith of a mustard seed!!!! We already have the faith of the Seed of God!!!!! The measure of faith that we have received is Christ. We do not have to strive to get more faith, we have His faith in us. The measure of faith that we have in us is not dependant on us, it is directly dependant on Him in us.

Rom 12:3 KJV For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

What measure of faith do we have? Christ in us! What an enermous statement?

Eph 3:17-21 KJV That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, (18) May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; (19) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (21) Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

*Other scriptures speaking about the f”aith of Christ”: Rom 3:22, Gal 3:22, Phil 3:9, 1 Tim 1:14, 1 Tim 3:13, 2 Tim 1:13, 2 Tim 3:15
