Paul was given the final gospel to us Gentiles

We all enjoy a good mystery don’t we? As a child i remember reading “The Hardy Brothers”, and “Nancy Drew”, and the “Famous Five”, These were wonderful books that were based on mysteries that had to be solved. I loved getting to the end of those books where the main characters unfolded the mystery to the readers.

An amazing thing is that God has revealed the most incredible mystery of all times, to His children. This revelation of the mystery is found in Colossians 1:26-27. God charged Paul to preach this mystery to us gentiles. Paul said that he was given a “dispensation” to fulfil the word of God. Dispensation is also translated as stewardship or administration.

1 Corinthians 4:1 KJV Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Col 1:25-27 KJV Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; (26) Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: (27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1Co 9:17 KJV For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

Eph 3:1-2 KJV For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, (2) If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

Paul says that this special dispensation has been given to him. Why then do we pay so little attention to Paul’s letters? If Paul has been given a special dispensation of God to fulfil to us gentiles, then we had better pay more attention to the Pauline letters. We need to understand the final gospel to mankind – which is Christ in us!!!!!

He then goes on to say an amazing thing. Look at Colossians 1:25 again.

Colossians 1:25 KJV Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

This means that the mystery of “Christ in you”, revealed to Paul by the Lord Jesus Christ, the gospel of Christ, finishes or completes the word of God. This is AWESOME!!!! We must understand the implications of this scripture.
