ONE + one = One

The story of Adam and Eve is a powerful explanation of how God intends us to be one with Christ. We pray that the Holy Spirit will give reveal to you, how as a born again child of the Most High, you have been made one with Him.

Genesis 1:27-28 KJV So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Do you see that God created “man” in His image. This was prior to God forming Eve!!!! God created “man” – male and female!

Genesis 2:8 KJV And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

God made man, male and female. Adam was male and female. Then God decided to make “woman”. He took “woman” out of “Adam”. God took the female part of Adam, and made “woman”.

Genesis 2:18-24 KJV And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (21) And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; (22) And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Then Adam said an incredible thing:

Genesis 2:23 KJV And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. (24) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

The creation of Adam and the bringing forth of Eve out of Adam’s side were God’s type and shadow of Christ and the Church.

Now let’s look at Ephesians and note how Paul explains this beautiful mystery of being one with Christ our Husband:

Eph 5:25-32 MKJV Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it, (26) that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, (27) that He might present it to Himself as the glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that it should be holy and without blemish. (28) So men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. (29) For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord loves the church. (30) For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. (31) “For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two of them shall be one flesh.” (32) This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

When Paul says that “he no longer lives, he is saying that he lives for Christ his husband. As the believer wife, we are the weaker vessel and we do not live for ourselves any longer.

1Co 6:15-17 MKJV Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? …. For He says, The two shall be one flesh. (17) But he being joined to the Lord is one spirit.

We have surrendered to the Lover of our Souls…….. Our AWESOME Husband Christ Jesus. Christ and me…….FOREVER. As Paul said, “to live is Christ”.
