Can I be cursed as a Christian?

Generational curses

Jesus Christ was born of God – or conceived by God, and was carried in a human beings body, in Mary’s womb.

Numbers 14:18 KJV The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

This scripture says, that God will punish the sins of the fathers, on the children, grand children, great grand children and great great grand children.

So we can say that the offspring from this father are guilty of his sins right? So because “all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God”, every single person on this planet has sinned. We are born sinners because of Adam’s sin. However, the word says that Jesus was sinless and guiltless.

Hebrews 4:15 KJV For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

He was perfect…

1 Peter 1:19 KJV But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

But how is it possible that Jesus was born out of a woman’s body and yet was sinless? Surely she had sinned. Yes she definitely did sin. She was a human just like us. And yet, the perfect, sinless lamb of God, came out of her womb…….

How is this possible?

Let’s look at a woman who is pregnant. While in the womb, the babies blood and the mothers blood never mix. The baby has its own vascular system.

Leviticus 17:11 KJV For the life of the flesh is in the blood:

Remember that Jesus was not conceived by an earthly father, He was conceived by God. His Father was God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Luke 1:35 KJV  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

So we see that Jesus was born of a woman, through God’s seed. Therefore we can deduct that the sinful nature, or our sinfulness, is transferred, or in other words, carried over, from the father’s side. Why? Because Jesus was without sin. He was perfect.

We have seen from the teaching on being born again previously, that we are born again, also of God. Jesus is our older brother.

Hebrews 2:11-12 KJV ……for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,  (12) Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, ……

Hebrews 2:17 KJV Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, ……

We are brothers because we have the same Father hallelujahhhh!!!!

God is our genetic father because His life has given life to us.

1 Peter 1:23 KJV Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 John 3:2 KJV Beloved, now are we the sons of God, …..

Philippians 2:15 KJV  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, ….

So we carry God’s seed, who is the Christ, inside of these earthen vessels called our bodies. His perfect, holy, glorious Christ, alive, within us. We are free from any curse, because,

Galatians 3:13 KJV Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

So, if all this is true, then why do people still tell us that we need to confess the sins of our forefathers? Because this is what is said in the Old Testament.

Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;  (41)  And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:  (42)  Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

We cannot mingle the Law, with grace.

Romans 6:14 KJV  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

In closing:

1 John 3:9 KJV Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 5:18 KJV  We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
